The Ottawa Giving Project has changed…
Over the past year, local churches partnered with the Ottawa Giving Project to provide donations of hygiene products and winter clothing to over 80 frontline organizations across our city serving vulnerable people in our community.
The Ottawa Giving Project was created to respond to specific needs during COVID lockdowns, the gaps continue for many in our city. Therefore, the Ottawa Giving Project is transitioning over to the Rideau Rockcliffe gifts in kind program. The Rideau Rockcliffe gifts in kind program has successfully distributed donations to organizations across the city for over 20 years. They are well respected in the city and have been able to distribute needed resources through personal donations and large corporate donations. The Ottawa Giving Project is being incorporated into their current program.
As we move into the Christmas season, your church maybe looking for ways to bring your congregation together to bless your neighbours. Organizing a collection is an easy way for all ages of your congregation to participate. If you are interested in seeing which donations are currently needed and how to drop them off please consider checking out the new home of the Ottawa Giving Project.
There is also a need for drivers to deliver donations and other volunteers. You can check out those opportunities here.
